Late Harvest Symphony

symphony_late.jpg

2003 Late Harvest Symphony

Made from 100% Botrytis affected Symphony Grapes in the French Saurterne style, this wine has a beautiful, brilliant, golden color with balanced overripe fruit and mild floral aromas.

Starts full, rich and round with fine acidity. The palate is then taken over by candied fruit flavors that are counter balanced by its astounding acidity leaving a long impressive velvety finish.

Winemaker Comments

Made from 100% Botrytis affected Symphony Grapes. Hand harvested, 100% Lodi Appellation. I know of no other Symphony Late Harvest that follows the French Sauterne style as we do. I am somewhat surprised to find that the Symphony grape is not used more in Late Harvest of Saurterne style wines. I believe that Baywood Cellars Late Harvest Symphony has all the qualities necessary to challenge the best that France has to offer. Compare with any French Saurterne at any price.
